Associate Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery of Azerbaijan Medical University, Deputy Director of AMU Surgery Clinic Ramiz Shamil Polukhov was born on May 1, 1967 in the Republic of Georgia.
Ramiz Polukhov entered the pediatric department of the Azerbaijan Medical Institute (now Azerbaijan Medical University) in 1984 and in 1992 graduated from the scholarship. In 1992-1994, he completed a clinical internship at the Department of Pediatric Surgery, AMU, in 1994-1998.
From 1998 to 2007, Ramiz Polukhov worked as an assistant, and since 2007 he is an assistant professor. At the same time, he was Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery in 2000–2013, he was Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the AMU Clinic in 2013–2017, and since 2017, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery in 2018.
Since June, Ramiz Polukhov has been the chief physician of the Surgery Clinic (Azerbaijan Medical University)
Ramiz Polukhov participated in more than 30 international congresses. Member of the Russian Association of Pediatric Surgeons since 2003 and member of the Russian Pediatric Association since 2010, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Association of Pediatric Surgeons since 2008.
